The DeWitt Guam team is as strong as it’s ever been, with 101 team members, 26% of whom have been with the company for 10+ years. Earlier this year, the team celebrated Kathy Cruz, DeWitt Guam’s most tenured employee, who joined DeWitt Guam its very first year in operation.

As Cori put it: “We’re proud to be a local-led business with the majority of our leadership from Guam. We’re also proud to have five female packers on the DeWitt Guam team, the highest number of all the DeWitt Companies. Finally, we’re also proud to practice our DeWitt core values every day, especially fun! We celebrated that value last week with a coconut relay team-building activity that involved everyone from the administrative staff to our trucking team.”

The Hawaii team has recently joined the Construction Industry of Maui and hosted their monthly “pau hana” social hour. The event gave the team an opportunity to meet potential clients and engage with existing customers. In total over 125 guests met with the sales team and learn about freight services.

DeWitt Move Worldwide has joined the SmartWay® Transportation Partnership, a program through the EPA. Participation in the program allows DeWitt Move Worldwide to track their environmental footprint of operations, including emissions and fuel use from the partners that DeWitt Move uses to carry freight.

John Burrows and Brad Chapman recently visited Anchorage and Fairbanks to meet with Sourdough Express/Transfer to collaborate on opportunities.

The team was pleasantly surprised to enjoy a day that wasn’t extremely cold.

The recruiting team in Hawaii has been working hard to fill positions before the busy summer season.

Known as “ramp-up” this time of year requires the team to all chip in and hire up to 200 seasonal employees.
